Job summary

Vanderlande seeks a Project Procurement Manager in Dubai to serve as the procurement expert during the Project Execution phase, ensuring on-time, in-full delivery of products and services. You will collaborate with engineering and project teams to minimize risk and ensure successful project completion.

The role requires extensive experience in procurement within technical environments, strong RFx and supplier performance skills, and the ability to lead negotiations while traveling up to 5%

Qualifications

• Extensive experience (5-7 years) in procurement, supply chain management, or project execution support.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, RFx management, and supplier performance management.
• Strong analytical skills to assess project requirements, supplier delivery performance, and potential risks.
• Experience in managing supplier escalations and implementing mitigation strategies for procurement-related disruptions.
• Demonstrated ability to lead negotiations and drive cost savings while balancing risk.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision and communicate effectively.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 5%.

Responsibilities

• Act as the procurement lead during project sales and execution phases to ensure timely delivery and cost efficiency.
• Coordinate RFx events for non-itemized items and evaluate supplier proposals against criteria.
• Manage supplier escalations and mitigate risks to maintain project timelines and budget.
• Update the project Supply Plan with procurement progress and changes.
• Advise on default products/services and supplier options during specification changes.
