Job summary

SD (Middle East) LLC in Dubai is seeking a seasoned PLC Engineer to design, program, and commission PLC software for baggage/cargo handling systems. You will analyze drawings, ensure compliance with safety standards, and deliver documentation from functional design to test protocols.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Instrumentation or Electrical/Electronic Engineering, at least 5 years of automation experience with Siemens PLCs (S7-400/1500), WinCC, and drives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation or Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• 5+ years of automation experience in baggage/cargo handling systems.
• Experience with Siemens S7-400/1500, WinCC, and drives.
• Excellent English communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and commission PLC software for BHS/CHS systems.
• Analyze mechanical layout and electrical drawings to meet specifications.
• Prepare design documents: FDS, operator manuals, training guides.
• Create commissioning plans, test protocols, and pre-commissioning checklists.
• Coordinate with design teams, IT, and simulation engineers during commissioning.
• Provide on-site support to optimize system performance and resolve snags.
• Train stakeholders on new products and improvements; review control estimates.
