Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor to join our Dubai team. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring financial success by delivering accurate cost estimations, managing contracts and optimizing project costs across major infrastructure projects.

The role requires a degree in MEP QS or related field and at least five years of experience in the Middle East, with on-site collaboration and a strong focus on value engineering and cost control.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Quantity Surveying is required.
• Minimum 5 years of MEP QS experience in the Middle East.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of MEP pre-contract services through concept, schematic and detailed design phases inclusive of measurement, cost planning and production of BoQ’s for construction projects.
• Assist with preparation of tender and contract documents.
• Assisting in and contributing to value engineering and viability studies.
• Assist in assessing, evaluating and making recommendations related to any financial claim and providing input to settlements.
• Assist in evaluating all change management including variations, additional works, field changes, additions and omissions, and incorporation of the same within the monthly cost reports.
• Preparing and pricing Change Orders and negotiating with the client and contractor as necessary.
• Conducting viability studies and cost estimates.
• Provide assistance to the team during negotiations, arbitration, or any other forms of dispute resolution.
