Job summary

Amazon UAE is seeking an Operations Supervisor - Logistics Shift Management in Dubai to lead shift operations across Amazon fulfillment centers, sortation facilities, or delivery stations. You will supervise frontline associates, coordinate labor, maintain safety and quality, and analyze performance to ensure timely customer orders.

The role requires strong communication, people leadership, and the ability to make data-driven decisions under pressure across high-volume operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day shift operations within an Amazon fulfillment center, sortation center, or delivery station.
• Maintain a safe working environment by identifying hazards, escalating risks, and implementing corrective actions.
• Lead, coach, and train associates so they can perform responsibilities safely and consistently.
• Ensure customer orders are processed according to required quality, productivity, and safety standards.
• Communicate shift information clearly to frontline managers, associates, operators, and support teams.
• Review staffing requirements and adjust labor allocation during the shift according to workload and priorities.
• Track shift performance and respond quickly when productivity or service levels move away from plan.
• Coordinate with training, safety, maintenance, and other support functions to address constraints.
• Maintain process-area readiness and support 5S workplace organization.
• Examine workflows and recommend improvements that reduce delays, waste, or recurring problems.
• Use data to investigate logistics and supply chain issues and identify root causes.
• Support process optimization initiatives to improve throughput, reliability, and utilization.
• Work under pressure to resolve customer or operational problems quickly.
• Coordinate multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines.
• Apply operating policies consistently across the work area.
• Contribute to end-to-end projects and improvement initiatives when required.
• Support inventory accuracy and material flow in the facility.
• Provide clear updates on risks, progress, and unresolved issues to management.
