Job summary

SoftwareOne in Dubai is seeking a Legal Counsel for UAE & Middle East to oversee day-to-day legal matters, draft and negotiate contracts, and coordinate with Group Legal, Data Protection and Compliance teams.

You will support business stakeholders, manage regional projects, and provide practical legal guidance to enable growth across the Middle East while aligning with international standards.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in law or equivalent qualification.
• Knowledge of contract law; ability to draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements.
• Commercial judgement balancing legal risk with business objectives.
• Structured, responsive and solution-oriented approach to managing priorities and stakeholder expectations.
• Awareness of ME legal and regulatory frameworks including public-sector requirements.
• Fluency in Arabic and English; local presence in Dubai.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate customer, supplier and partner contracts, including software licensing and IT services.
• Provide practical legal support to Sales, Finance, Procurement, People & Culture and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate with Group Legal, Data Protection and Compliance teams on matters.
• Support regional projects, contract-management activities in an international environment.
• Coordinate relationships with external lawyers and consultants when local or specialist advice is required.
• Advise on data-protection matters and review data-processing agreements.
