Job summary

Astra ProMed in Dubai seeks a Consultant Intensivist to lead critical care services in a modern ICU. The role requires extensive experience in sepsis management, mechanical ventilation, and hemodynamic monitoring, with DHA licensing eligibility.

Qualifications

• MBBS/MD or equivalent recognized medical degree.
• Postgraduate qualification in Critical Care Medicine / Intensive Care Medicine, or an accepted primary specialty with advanced critical care training.
• Board certification or equivalent recognized consultant-level qualification.
• American/UK/Canadian/Australian/European or other international qualifications are highly desirable.
• Minimum 5–10 years of relevant post-specialization experience preferred.
• ACLS certification or equivalent is preferred.
• Eligible for DHA Consultant Intensive Care license in Dubai per UAE PQR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Provide treatment for sepsis, septic shock, respiratory failure, ARDS, and multiorgan dysfunction.
• Manage invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation and advanced respiratory support.
• Perform endotracheal intubation, central venous catheterization, arterial line placement, and other critical care procedures.
• Lead emergency resuscitation and advanced cardiac life support.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharge planning within ICU services.
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, pulmonologists, cardiologists, surgeons, and ICU teams.
• Ensure compliance with DHA regulations, infection control, and patient safety standards.
