Job summary

Astra ProMed in Dubai is seeking a Consultant in Critical Care Medicine to join its ICU. The role involves managing critically ill patients, providing advanced life-support, and ensuring evidence-based care in a modern ICU.

The ideal candidate holds MBBS with postgraduate Critical Care, board/fellowship, DHA license preferred, and experience meeting UAE PQR for consultant. You will lead rounds, perform procedures, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and uphold DHA regs and infection

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognised.
• Postgraduate qualification in Critical Care Medicine or equivalent.
• Fellowship or board certification in Critical Care Medicine.
• Valid DHA License or Eligibility Letter preferred.
• Experience meeting UAE PQR requirements for Consultant.
• Strong expertise in ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring, organ support, and emergency critical care.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage critically ill patients with complex, life-threatening medical and surgical conditions.
• Provide advanced ICU care including mechanical ventilation and hemodynamic support.
• Perform procedures such as endotracheal intubation, central venous access, and arterial line insertion.
• Develop individualized treatment plans for sepsis, shock, respiratory failure and multiorgan dysfunction.
• Lead multidisciplinary ICU rounds and coordinate care with specialists, nurses, and therapists.
• Ensure DHA regulations, infection control, and patient safety standards.
