Job summary

Parsons Corporation in Dubai seeks a BIM CAD Technician - Utility Networks to support wet and dry utility projects with coordinated BIM models and CAD drawings. You will work with BIM Leads, Design Leads, and Engineers to develop layouts, isometrics, and flow sheets, while maintaining model integrity and QA/QC across the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree and 4+ years of UAE/Middle East drafting experience, with strong knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering from an accredited university or institution.
• Minimum 4 years of CAD drafting experience in the Middle East or UAE.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Autodesk Civil 3D, and Navisworks.
• Experience with Common Data Environment platforms such as ProjectWise and BIM360.
• Understanding of BIM workflows, model coordination, LOD requirements, drawing standards, and information management.

Responsibilities

• Develop coordinated BIM models and CAD drawings for wet and dry utility infrastructure.
• Collaborate with BIM Leads, Design Leads and Engineers on project-specific digital delivery requirements.
• Prepare general arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometric drawings and component details.
• Follow established drafting procedures, model standards and project workflows.
• Manage BIM-related activities from initial model setup through design development, coordination, revisions and final delivery.
• Review drawings for readability, presentation quality and technical consistency; ensure standards compliance.
• Apply QA-QC processes to drawings and model outputs.
• Coordinate model interfaces with other disciplines and identify design clarifications.
• Perform clash detection using Navisworks and generate structured clash reports.
• Support resolution of utility conflicts via updated model information and revisions.
• Maintain LOD requirements across project stages.
• Generate schedules and extract quantities from BIM models.
• Maintain revisions in Common Data Environment systems (ProjectWise, BIM360).
