Salesforce is expanding its Commercial Legal team in EMEA and seeks a high-performing Corporate Counsel based in Dubai to support sales across the UAE and the Middle East. You will draft and negotiate technology service agreements, advise on local laws and regulatory matters, and work with privacy, security, and compliance teams to ensure aligned, risk-aware contracts.

Qualifications

• Master Degree from a highly regarded university; LLM or additional abroad studies in an English-speaking country are a plus.
• Qualified Lawyer within a major jurisdiction and/or UAE is a plus.
• Substantial experience and knowledge of UAE law and major common law jurisdictions relating to commercial and technology contracting.
• Minimum 5-year PQE in a reputable law firm or as in-house commercial counsel in a large organization operating in the Middle East and supporting IT contracts' negotiation, including public procurements activities.

Responsibilities

• Advise on UAE and other Middle East laws, regulations and procedures, as well as help properly strengthen and orient our contractual, operational and business regional offering to meet our targets and embrace the contemplated business growth.
• Draft, negotiate, and advise on strategic technology service agreements with commercial and public sector customers and partners.
• Provide legal support for local and regional services and initiatives, offering ongoing legal counsel, regulatory interpretation, and guidance for executives and other business and legal team members on a variety of matters related to the sale of cloud-based, on-prem and professional services.
• Closely cooperate with other departments, including privacy, government affairs, security and compliance to ensure agreements are consistent with internal policies and processes.
• Provide legal and commercial advice in relation to existing contracts and provide support in the event of any disputes or potential disputes.
• Provide support in answering public market surveys, RFIs/RFPs, including collecting relevant information internally.
• Assist in developing training materials and provide training to the business on relevant legal topics and best practices.
• Actively contribute to the EMEA Commercial Legal team's ongoing development of knowledge, skills and processes.
• Participate in cross-regional team projects.
