Job summary

Zofeur in Dubai seeks a hands-on, AI-native Chief Technology Officer to own technology strategy, engineering execution and organizational capability as the company scales across the GCC. You will inherit a live platform and lead a distributed engineering team, strengthening capabilities and improving delivery.

You will drive AI-first engineering, cloud governance and security while building a culture of accountability and rapid innovation to support high-volume mobility services.

Qualifications

• Significant software engineering and technology leadership experience, typically 12+ years.
• Experience leading and scaling multidisciplinary engineering organisations.
• Strong architecture capability across cloud, backend, mobile, data and APIs.
• Experience with high-volume transactional, marketplace, logistics, mobility, delivery, fintech or consumer platforms.
• Direct exposure to real-time systems, location data, payments or operational platforms.
• Experience managing distributed internal teams and outsourced engineering partners.
• Practical experience implementing AI-assisted software development and production AI systems.
• Strong knowledge of QA automation, DevOps, observability, security and incident management.
• Commercial judgement and the ability to connect technical decisions to customer and business outcomes.
• The confidence and communication skills to work directly with founders and boards.
• Experience with PHP/Laravel, Swift, Kotlin, AWS, GCP, Redshift or mobility technology is advantageous but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Own technology strategy, architecture and roadmap.
• Strengthen engineering organisation and reduce key-person dependency.
• Improve delivery speed, release quality and incident response.
• Lead AI-native engineering and mobility intelligence initiatives.
• Oversee AWS and GCP, security and governance.
• Partner with founder and board on technology plans.
