Job summary

Parsons is seeking a Drainage Engineer (Design) in Dubai, UAE, to lead stormwater drainage design across varied projects. You will develop sustainable drainage solutions with hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, while coordinating with CAD/BIM teams and mentoring junior engineers.

The role requires aBachelor's in Civil Engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience, strong CAD/GIS skills, and familiarity with SWMM, HEC-RAS/HEC-HMS, and SuDS. UAE market experience is preferred.

Qualifications

Minimum 4+ years of experience in infrastructure and civil engineering projects, water engineering, including stormwater design and planning.
Strong understanding of hydrology and hydraulics principles.
Experience with culverts, urban drainage systems and highway drainage.
Proficiency with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling tools (CAD, SWMM, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS).
Experience with Infoworks ICM is a plus.
Excellent GIS and CAD skills (ArcMap, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microstation).
Good written/spoken communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Independently design stormwater drainage systems for diverse projects.
Manage design of non-conventional/smart drainage and SuDS.
Develop stormwater designs using urban drainage principles and hydrologic/hydraulic modelling.
Perform hydraulic and system design to meet site requirements.
Collaborate with CAD/BIM/3D teams across project stages.
Supervise and support junior engineers.
Conduct hydrologic modeling, calculations, drawings, and reports.
