Job summary

Yosh in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Private Executive Chef to lead all kitchen operations for a private household. You will plan menus, purchase ingredients, prepare meals, and maintain high standards of service, hygiene, and discretion.

Role requires strong cooking skills across cuisines, excellent organisation, and the ability to adapt to household schedules, events, and occasional travel. You will work closely with household staff to deliver personalised dining experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience as executive/private chef or senior culinary role.
• Strong cooking skills across cuisines and techniques.
• Experience planning tailored menus for dietary needs and events.
• Knowledge of food hygiene, allergen management and kitchen safety.
• Experience with purchasing, stock management, cost control and waste minimisation.
• Excellent organisational and time-management abilities, discreet communication.
• Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare bespoke menus for daily meals, special occasions, and private events.
• Prepare and present meals to a high standard, adapting for occasions and service requirements.
• Discuss food preferences, dietary requirements, allergies, and nutritional needs with household members.
• Manage food preparation and service timings, coordinating with household staff as needed.
• Source, order, and purchase ingredients and kitchen supplies for quality and value.
• Check deliveries for quality, manage stock levels, storage, rotation and labelling.
• Maintain a clean, organised kitchen following hygiene and safety procedures.
• Monitor kitchen equipment and report faults or maintenance needs.
• Manage food costs and minimise waste while maintaining quality.
