Qualifications

• Prior private household chef experience required or preferred.
• Formal culinary training or cookery qualifications desirable.
• Strong knowledge of nutrition, menu planning and modern techniques.
• Knowledge of food hygiene, allergen awareness and safety requirements.
• Experience catering for families, children and private events desirable.
• Current hygiene certification or willingness to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare daily meals, snacks, canapes and special menus per family preferences and schedule.
• Prepare varied, balanced menus using fresh seasonal ingredients; cater for dietary needs.
• Cook for adults, children, guests and staff; adapt recipes and presentation as needed.
• Source fresh produce from reliable suppliers and manage shopping within budget.
• Maintain kitchen hygiene, safety, portion control and stock rotation; minimise waste.
• Coordinate with household staff and event professionals for events or travel.
