Job summary

University of Kalba seeks a Director to lead the Student Success Center, guiding programs that boost student well-being, progression, retention and graduation. You will shape an integrated support framework with colleges and units, ensuring effective advising, early intervention, and student engagement.

You will oversee strategy, budgeting, reporting, and KPI-driven improvements while building partnerships and leading a diverse team to support student success across the university.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, Academic Advising, Psychology, Management or related field.
• A doctoral degree is preferred for senior leadership roles.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant higher education experience including supervisory/management responsibilities.
• Experience in student success, retention, early intervention, and student data analysis is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the operations of the Student Success Center and ensure achievement of strategic and operational objectives.
• Develop and implement the Center's strategy and programs in alignment with the university's strategic plan.
• Develop initiatives to enhance student retention, academic progression, and timely graduation.
• Establish early-alert and intervention to identify at-risk students and create support plans.
• Oversee academic advising and student guidance services to support diverse needs.
• Collaborate with colleges and faculty to identify student needs and design solutions.
• Promote student engagement, belonging, and participation in university life.
• Oversee orientation, transition, and integration programs for students.
• Develop career-related support and connect students with training and opportunities.
• Utilize data to assess needs and identify at-risk students; prepare reports and analyses.
• Establish KPIs to measure program effectiveness and monitor satisfaction.
• Supervise staff, assign responsibilities, and support professional development.
• Develop operating budget and ensure efficient resource use.
• Develop policies related to student success services in coordination with units.
• Establish collaborations with internal units and external organizations.

The Director of the Student Success Center provides strategic and operational leadership for the Centers programs and initiatives aimed at enhancing student success, well-being, academic progression, retention, and graduation. The position develops an integrated student support framework covering academic and career guidance, early intervention, student engagement, and success initiatives, in collaboration with colleges, departments, and relevant University units

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the operations of the Student Success Center and ensure achievement of its strategic and operational objectives.
• Develop and implement the Centers strategy and programs in alignment with the University of Kalba strategic plan.
• Develop initiatives that enhance student retention, academic progression, achievement, and timely graduation.
• Establish and oversee an early-alert and intervention system to identify students at academic risk and develop appropriate support plans.
• Oversee academic advising and student guidance services and ensure appropriate support for students with diverse academic needs.
• Collaborate with colleges and faculty members to identify student needs and develop appropriate support solutions and programs.
• Develop initiatives that promote student engagement, belonging, and participation in university life.
• Oversee orientation, transition, and student integration programs for new and continuing students.
• Develop career-related support services and connect students with relevant training and career opportunities in coordination with the appropriate University units.
• Utilize student and academic data to assess student needs and identify students at risk of academic difficulty or withdrawal.
• Prepare regular reports, statistics, and analyses related to the Centers performance and student success indicators.
• Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of student success programs and services.
• Monitor student satisfaction with the Centers services and recommend continuous improvements.
• Supervise Center staff, assign responsibilities, monitor performance, and support professional development.
• Prepare and monitor the Centers operating budget and ensure effective utilization of resources.
• Develop policies and procedures related to student success services in coordination with relevant University units.
• Establish effective collaboration and partnerships with colleges, departments, centers, and relevant external organizations.
• Ensure confidentiality and appropriate handling of student information in accordance with University policies and applicable regulations.
• Participate in University committees, projects, and initiatives related to student success.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by senior management.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Masters degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, Academic Advising, Psychology, Management, or a related field. A doctoral degree is preferred for senior leadership appointments.

Experience

Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in higher education, student affairs, academic advising, or student support services, including appropriate supervisory or management experience. Experience in student success, retention, early intervention, and student data analysis is required.
