Job summary

Majid Al Futtaim is seeking a Director of Technology Governance and Assurance to lead group-wide governance across Dubai and the region, establishing frameworks, ensuring regulatory compliance and strong IT risk management.

The role requires 10–15 years in governance, PMO, risk or audit, with certifications CGEIT/CISA/CISM/PMP/ITIL. You will oversee governance, portfolio controls, vendor governance, and financial oversight while guiding change management and leadership activities.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of experience in project management offices, technology governance, risk management, or audit roles within group technology environments.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing complex cross-functional projects and teams.
• Bachelor's or master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Analysis, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT).
• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or equivalent risk and compliance certification.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• ITIL certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce enterprise technology governance frameworks aligned with internal policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Establish consistent governance and assurance practices across group technology operations, businesses, and regions.
• Conduct regular technology audits, compliance assessments, and policy reviews to identify gaps and monitor adherence to established standards.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate IT risks through structured risk management processes.
• Oversee technology vendor contracts and monitor supplier performance against organizational expectations.
• Define and implement demand management frameworks to support the evaluation and control of technology requirements.
• Establish portfolio management processes that strengthen oversight of technology initiatives and associated priorities.
• Develop vendor management procedures and financial control frameworks for Majid Al Futtaim Technology.
• Monitor compliance with approved governance processes and address identified deviations.
• Implement quality assurance practices to maintain standards across technology programs and initiatives.
• Forecast financial requirements for technology activities and monitor budget utilization.
• Support financial accountability through effective technology cost monitoring and control.
• Lead change management activities associated with new technology initiatives and organizational transitions.
• Provide leadership and direction to governance and assurance teams working across different technology competencies.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional stakeholders to resolve governance concerns and support consistent implementation of technology policies.
