Step, part of Beast Industries, is seeking a senior engineering leader in Dubai to drive technical strategy and scale fintech-grade products. You will mentor managers, own roadmaps, and ensure architecture, security, and reliability while balancing rapid delivery with infrastructure investments.

The role emphasizes leading a distributed, cloud-based engineering organization with a strong focus on business outcomes and scalable systems.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering with leadership experience.

• Strong Computer Science fundamentals.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering with significant leadership experience
• Proven experience managing engineering managers and senior engineers
• Strong Computer Science and software engineering fundamentals
• Track record of building and scaling reliable, customer-facing software products
• Experience designing and evolving distributed systems
• Strong product sense and ability to connect technical decisions to business outcomes

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in fintech, banking, payments, or highly regulated financial systems
• Experience building products at significant consumer scale
• Experience leading teams through rapid growth or organizational change
• Experience with mobile-first consumer products
• Proficiency with cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes
