Tech Lead

MultiBank Group is a 20‑year‑old regulated fintech with strong fundamentals and significant growth potential. We’re at an inflection point—modernising our consumer trading platforms (crypto spot and CFD) to capture a major market opportunity during an unprecedented period of trading volatility.

The Challenge

You’ll lead technical direction for critical platform areas while continuing to contribute as an individual engineer. This requires leaders who can architect solutions, mentor engineers, and make pragmatic technical decisions that balance quality with delivery speed. The role demands deep technical expertise combined with strong communication skills and leadership presence.

What You’ll Do

• Own technical architecture and design for your team’s domain
• Write code and conduct code reviews regularly (50%+ hands‑on)
• Mentor engineers and elevate team technical capabilities
• Make technology choices and define technical standards
• Partner with the Engineering Manager on sprint planning and execution
• Drive technical debt reduction and system improvements
• Collaborate with other Tech Leads on cross‑team initiatives
• Represent technical perspective in product and design discussions
• Participate in architecture reviews and technical decision‑making

What We’re Looking For

• 6+ years of software development experience with strong technical depth
• Proven ability to architect and build complex systems
• Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring engineers
• Strong coding skills and commitment to code quality
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Experience with modern tech stacks (frontend or backend)
• Track record of making sound technical trade‑offs under pressure
• Fintech or high‑scale system experience preferred
