Job summary

Sharjah Maritime Academy in United Arab Emirates is seeking a senior Registrar to lead the admission and registration function within the academic division. You will oversee policies, calendars, and student records, coordinating with departments to ensure smooth processes.

The role requires extensive experience in higher education registration, strong leadership, and proficiency with registration software, with fluency in Arabic and English to serve a diverse student body.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in information systems management or a related field.
• PhD is preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in higher education institutions, especially in registration.
• Strong knowledge of admission policies, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in the use of admission and registration software and systems.

Responsibilities

• Contributing to development of academic regulations and systems.
• Issuing annual academic calendar.
• Monitoring students' academic status and study system.
• Preparing schedules for lectures and exams across specializations.
• Reviewing teaching load for faculty members.
• Leading the registration office and guiding academic policies.
• Ensuring compliance with accreditation requirements.
• Managing admission and registration processes and records.
• Collaborating with IT to implement registration system enhancements.
• Handling inquiries and improving student experience in registration.
