Job summary

SSMC in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Sonography Specialist to perform diagnostic ultrasound and fetal imaging in prenatal and other clinical settings.

The role requires post-graduate experience in an acute care hospital, and appropriate national licensure. You will collaborate with radiologists, maintain equipment, and ensure patient safety while delivering high-quality imaging services.

Qualifications

• NLT 2 years post-graduate experience in an acute care hospital.
• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Ultrasound or Sonography (min three years)
• Registration/certification as radiographer/Sonographer
• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma from an accredited Radiography/Radiology program

Responsibilities

• Maintains adequate inventory of materials and equipment for duties
• Facilitates cross-sectional imaging and liaises with radiologists to arrange further imaging
• Ensures safe/competent use of radiology equipment and reports faults
• Operates advanced software for image reconstructions and dynamic imaging
• Maintains a clean, restocked work environment
