Responsibilities

• Explaining sonographic procedures to patients.
• Answering questions and preparing patients by applying gel.
• Positioning patients on the examination table.
• Ensuring clear images and adjusting the sonographic equipment as needed.
• Selecting settings and adjusting patient positions accordingly.
• Monitoring and caring for patients to ensure safety and comfort during procedures.
• Selecting and examining images for differences between healthy and pathological areas.
• Determining if the scope of the exam should be extended based on findings.
• Presenting sonograms and preliminary findings to physicians.
• Completing documentation and maintaining patient histories and medical records.
• Assisting physicians during invasive procedures.
• Maintaining and cleaning the sonographic equipment.
