Job summary

Azizi Group is hiring a Site Engineer for Fire Fighting (Mechanical) to oversee the installation, testing and commissioning of firefighting systems on major projects in UAE. You will review drawings and method statements to ensure work aligns with approved documents and coordinate with consultants, clients, and main contractors for inspections and handovers.

The role requires a Bachelor's/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and 38 years of hands-on experience in MEP or Fire Fighting system

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 38 years of experience in MEP or fire fighting system installation.
• Knowledge of NFPA standards, UAE Civil Defense codes, and fire protection system design.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, testing and commissioning of firefighting systems on site.
• Review drawings, specifications and method statements to ensure compliance.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients and main contractors for inspections and approvals.
• Prepare MIR/WIR and daily progress reports; ensure submittals meet standards.
• Ensure HSE compliance and assist in handover documentation.

Site Engineer Fire Fighting (Mechanical)

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the installation testing and commissioning of firefighting systems (sprinklers hydrants hose reels fire pumps FM200 CO₂ and other suppression systems).
• Review drawings specifications and method statements to ensure work execution aligns with approved documents.
• Coordinate with consultants clients and main contractors for inspections approvals and site progress.
• Prepare and submit material inspection requests (MIR) work inspection requests (WIR) and daily progress reports.
• Ensure materials and equipment comply with approved submittals and standards (NFPA / Civil Defense).
• Supervise subcontractors and manpower to ensure timely and quality installation.
• Assist in preparation of as-built drawings and documentation for project handover.
• Ensure compliance with all Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) regulations on-site.
• Attend site coordination meetings and resolve technical or site-related issues.
• Support in hydrostatic testing pump room commissioning and final system approvals from Civil Defense.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 38 years of experience in MEP or Fire Fighting system installation in building or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA standards UAE Civil Defense codes and Fire Protection System design & installation.
• Familiar with AutoCAD MS Office and construction site documentation.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills.
