Job description

Design Engineer

Location: Sharjah, United Arab Emirates

Onsite or hybrid as applicable.

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Design Engineer to join our technical department. This is a key role within our project delivery team, focusing on the design and documentation of advanced firefighting system skids using Autodesk Inventor.

You'll work closely with experienced engineers and engage with clients, ensuring our designs meet high standards for manufacturing, serviceability, and offshore industry requirements.

Responsibilities
  1. Design complete firefighting system skids with guidance from senior engineers.
  2. Analyze client specifications and update existing bid-phase designs to meet contract requirements.
  3. Ensure manufacturability and serviceability by applying GD&T tolerances and engineering best practices.
  4. Participate in client meetings and communicate technical design aspects effectively.
  5. Prepare complete and accurate manufacturing documentation using 3D CAD.
  6. Adapt design practices to align with company standards and procedures.
Requirements
  1. Experience designing hydraulic skids, especially for offshore firefighting systems.
  2. Advanced knowledge of Inventor drawing tools, sections, detail views, projections, and assembly organization.
  3. Familiarity with client-facing technical communication and design presentation.
  4. Proficient in Autodesk Inventor or similar CAD tools and AutoCAD.
  5. Practical experience with hydraulic component design (manifolds, cylinders, etc.).
  6. Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, GD&T, and ISO standards, and create accurate BOM structures.
  7. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  8. Ability to work independently and manage tasks proactively in a fast-paced environment.
  9. Well-organized and a collaborative team player.
