Job summary

Brainstorm Human Resources Consultants in Dubai seeks a Deputy Operations Manager – MEP to oversee the operational delivery of multiple MEP projects. You will coordinate across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and firefighting disciplines, drive project performance, and optimise resources while maintaining schedules, budgets, QA/QC, and HSE standards.

UAE/GCC experience is highly preferred, with a strong leadership track record in major MEP contracting and project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 12–18+ years of MEP experience, preferably with a major MEP contractor.
• Strong experience in MEP contracting and project execution.
• Proven ability to manage multiple MEP projects simultaneously.
• Experience leading Project Managers, MEP Managers, Engineers and large site teams.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and firefighting systems.
• UAE/GCC experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee MEP operations across multiple projects.
• Provide operational direction to Project Managers and site teams.
• Monitor manpower, productivity, procurement and material needs.
• Ensure projects meet schedules, budgets, quality and HSE standards.
• Review performance, risks and operational challenges.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, main contractors and subcontractors.
• Drive cross-discipline coordination across HVAC, electrical, plumbing and firefighting.
• Review budgets, variations, subcontractor performance and commercial matters.
• Support project managers in technical, contractual and operational issues.
• Optimise manpower, equipment and resources across projects.
• Ensure timely planning and procurement of MEP materials and equipment.
• Review KPIs and progress reports; report to senior management.
• Support tender handover, mobilisation and project execution.
• Ensure compliance with specifications, QA/QC and HSE standards.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
• Drive continuous improvement in productivity and efficiency.
