Job summary

Brainstorm Human Resources Consultants in Dubai seeks a Deputy Operations Manager – MEP to oversee the operational delivery of multiple MEP projects. You will coordinate across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and firefighting disciplines, drive project performance, and optimise resources while maintaining schedules, budgets, QA/QC, and HSE standards.

UAE/GCC experience is highly preferred, with a strong leadership track record in major MEP contracting and project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 12–18+ years of MEP experience, preferably with a major MEP contractor.
• Strong experience in MEP contracting and project execution.
• Proven ability to manage multiple MEP projects simultaneously.
• Experience leading Project Managers, MEP Managers, Engineers and large site teams.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and firefighting systems.
• UAE/GCC experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee MEP operations across multiple projects.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Deputy Operations Manager – MEP to oversee the operational delivery of multiple MEP projects in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with major MEP contractors, multi-project management, resource optimisation, client coordination, and overall project performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee MEP operations across multiple projects simultaneously.
• Provide operational direction to Project Managers, MEP Managers, Engineers, and site teams.
• Monitor project progress, manpower, productivity, procurement, and material requirements.
• Ensure projects meet approved schedules, budgets, quality, and HSE standards.
• Review project performance, delays, risks, and operational challenges.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, main contractors, and subcontractors.
• Ensure effective coordination between HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and firefighting disciplines.
• Review project budgets, costs, variations, subcontractor performance, and commercial matters.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 12–18+ years of MEP experience, preferably with a major MEP contractor.
• Strong experience in MEP contracting and project execution.
• Proven ability to manage multiple MEP projects simultaneously.
• Experience managing Project Managers, MEP Managers, Engineers, and large site teams.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
• Experience with commercial, residential, hospitality, mixed-use, mall, infrastructure, or data centre projects.
• Strong understanding of project planning, cost control, procurement, and resource management.
• Knowledge of contracts, variations, and subcontractor management.
• Strong client and consultant coordination skills.
• UAE/GCC experience is highly preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
