Job summary

InterContinental Residences Dubai Business Bay is seeking a skilled Demi Chef de Partie to join our busy kitchen. You will contribute to daily operations, ensure quality and consistency, and support senior chefs in menu development and service across our outlets.

In this role you will work within a professional team, maintain HACCP standards, and help drive guest satisfaction through precise cooking and plating. Training and development are available within our luxury IHG portfolio.

Qualifications

• Culinary education or professional cookery training is preferred.
• Food safety certification is an advantage.
• Previous experience as a Demi Chef de Partie, Commis Chef, or in a similar kitchen role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to approved recipes and hotel standards.
• Complete mise en place and ensure the kitchen section is ready for service.
• Maintain consistency in taste, portion size, cooking temperature, and presentation.
• Support restaurant, in-room dining, and banqueting operations as required.
• Assist with menu development and new culinary offerings under the guidance of senior chefs.
• Follow HACCP, food safety, and hygiene procedures at all times.
• Ensure proper food storage, labeling, temperature control, and stock rotation.
• Maintain clean and organized workstations, equipment, and preparation areas.
• Prevent cross-contamination and report any food safety or equipment concerns promptly.
• Monitor ingredient availability and communicate stock requirements.
• Follow portion control standards and minimize food waste.
• Work collaboratively with the culinary team to ensure smooth and timely service.
• Support junior colleagues when required and contribute to a positive kitchen environment.
• Follow health, safety, and operational procedures consistently.
