Job summary

HSBC in Al Ain, UAE, seeks a UAE National Debt Counselling Advisor to support customers in financial difficulty and help them regain stability within International Wealth and Premier Banking.

You will contact customers to collect overdue balances, assess affordability, offer compliant solutions, manage a live portfolio of accounts, and escalate cases for legal action when appropriate.

Qualifications

• Fluent English communication required.
• Previous collections experience essential.
• Ability to write business letters and reports.
• Excellent email/conversational/telephone skills.
• Strong problem-solving and numerical data interpretation abilities.
• Willingness to work in shifts and adapt to different environments.
• Ability to build rapport with customers and stakeholders.
• Strong MS Office skills including Excel/Access.

Responsibilities

• Minimize losses by collecting overdue debts while protecting customer and bank interests.
• Understand customer circumstances and affordability, offering compliant options.
• Manage a portfolio of live, current and overdue debit balances via calls and other channels.
• Provide appropriate treatments based on the customer’s circumstances and escalate cases for legal action when necessary.
