Job summary

AlifCloud IT Consulting Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a technically strong Pre-Sales Consultant to own the technical side of data protection and DR deals.

You will bridge complex infrastructure and customer confidence, working with Account Managers to uncover pain points, design backup/DR solutions, run POCs, and present your designs to IT teams and management. You won’t just sell software—you will architect resilience.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of experience in backup, disaster recovery, storage, or infrastructure engineering.
• Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience designing or deploying Veeam.
• Deep understanding of enterprise backup methodologies.
• Solid knowledge of VMware vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper-V architectures.
• Strong understanding of Storage technologies: SAN/NAS, Object Storage (S3), and deduplication appliances.
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for backup/DR workloads.
• Proven ability to run technical discovery workshops and gather customer requirements.
• Experience delivering product demonstrations and Proof-of-Concepts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Veeam Certification (Strongly Preferred); VMCE strongly preferred or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery calls to assess customer backup, storage, and recovery requirements.
• Design end-to-end data protection solutions aligned with RTO/RPO and compliance needs.
• Create architecture diagrams, BoMs, and deployment roadmaps.
• Design protection strategies across physical, virtual (VMware/Hyper-V), and hybrid-cloud environments.
• Assist in designing replication, failover, and recovery testing workflows.
