Michael Page is seeking a senior data governance leader in Abu Dhabi to own the firm's data governance and quality framework across the enterprise.

You will partner with business leaders to embed data ownership, establish governance practices, and drive continuous improvements for trusted data used in regulatory, business, and AI contexts. The role includes developing catalogues, metadata, lineage, and protection standards and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a relevant discipline.
• 10+ years' experience in a financial services data governance role.
• Experience implementing enterprise-wide governance and quality frameworks.
• Hands-on with data governance platforms and cloud data platforms.

Job description

Take ownership of the firm's data governance and data quality framework, ensuring data is trusted, secure, and fit for business, regulatory, and AI-driven use cases.

Working closely with business leaders you will establish strong governance practices, embed data ownership, and drive continuous improvements across the enterprise data landscape.

Description

Lead the governance, classification, stewardship, and management of enterprise data assets.

Develop and maintain data catalogues, metadata, lineage, and business data definitions to improve transparency and control.

Establish and oversee data quality standards, monitoring frameworks, issue management processes, and remediation activities.

Partner with Technology, Compliance, and Information Security teams to ensure effective data protection, access governance, and regulatory compliance.

Drive the adoption of automation and AI-enabled solutions to enhance governance processes and scale data management capabilities.

Profile

Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with 10+ years' experience in a relevant role with significant financial services industry experience.

Demonstrated success implementing and operating enterprise-wide data governance and quality frameworks.

Hands-on experience with data governance platforms such as Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Alation, Atlan, or similar solutions.

Strong understanding of cloud data platforms, metadata management, lineage, access controls, and data governance considerations related to AI.
