Job summary

Salt Digital Recruitment is seeking a Senior Data Governance Practitioner in Dubai to support the design and implementation of enterprise data governance frameworks. The role involves working closely with various teams to improve data management maturity and drive governance adoption.

Key qualifications include strong experience in data governance consulting, good understanding of tools like Collibra and Informatica, and familiarity with data privacy regulations. Candidates must be immediately available or able to start on very short notice.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in data governance consulting and setting up Data Governance offices.
• Experience in Data Governance, Data Quality, or MDM programmes.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to drive governance adoption.
• Good understanding of tools such as Collibra, Informatica, or SAP MDG.
• Knowledge of metadata management, data cataloguing, and data lineage.
• Familiarity with data privacy regulations (GDPR, HIPAA).
• SQL knowledge required; Python and Snowflake are a plus.
• Exposure to cloud governance tools (Azure Purview, AWS Glue, GCP Data Catalog) is advantageous.
• Experience with data engineering concepts, ETL, data modelling, and BI tools (Power BI or Tableau) is a plus.
• Must be immediately available or able to start on very short notice.

The role involves working closely with DG offices, IT, data, risk, and compliance teams to drive governance adoption, improve data management maturity, and support end-to-end data lifecycle management.
