Job summary

Prestige Engineering L.L.C. in Dubai seeks a Data Entry Operator – Engineering with strong technical understanding to interpret engineering drawings and material specifications and accurately enter data into the company ERP system.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology or related field preferred.
• Experience in engineering data entry and technical documentation is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Review engineering drawings for pressure vessels, skids, packaged equipment, and structural components.
• Read fabrication, GA, detail drawings, BOMs, and material lists.
• Record material specifications, grades, sizes, thicknesses and quantities.
• Enter engineering and material data into the ERP system accurately.
• Create and maintain item codes, BOMs and related data in ERP.
• Verify data against drawings and approved documents.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Projects, Production, Procurement and QA/QC to clarify technical info.
• Update ERP records on drawing revisions or material changes.
• Maintain traceable and complete engineering data in the ERP system.
• Assist in preparing material requirements from engineering documents.

Role Overview

Prestige Engineering L.L.C. is looking for a Data Entry Operator – Engineering with good technical understanding and the ability to accurately interpret engineering drawings, material specifications, and project documents and enter the required information into the company ERP system.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and understand engineering drawings for pressure vessels, skids & packaged equipment, structural fabrication, tanks, and other engineering equipment.
• Read and understand fabrication drawings, GA drawings, detail drawings, BOMs, and material lists.
• Identify and correctly record material specifications, grades, sizes, thicknesses, and quantities from engineering documents.
• Enter engineering and material details accurately into the ERP system.
• Create and maintain item codes, material codes, BOMs, and related engineering data in the ERP system.
• Verify entered information against drawings, specifications, and approved documents.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Projects, Production, Procurement, and QA/QC departments to clarify technical information when required.
• Update ERP records whenever there are drawing revisions, material changes, or approved modifications.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure that engineering data entered into the ERP is complete and traceable.
• Assist in preparing material requirements and other project-related data from engineering documents.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of company and project information.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education & Experience: Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred; previous experience in engineering data entry, mechanical draftsman work, technical documentation, production planning, ERP data entry, or a similar role.
• Technical Proficiency: Good knowledge of engineering and fabrication drawings, including pressure vessel, skid, and structural drawings; good understanding of engineering materials and specifications (CS, SS, alloy materials); knowledge of BOMs, material specifications, dimensions, quantities, and item coding; good working knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Excel, and MS Office; experience with an ERP system preferred.
• Core Competencies: Strong attention to detail and accuracy; good coordination and communication skills.
