Job summary

Amazon Data Services Emirates LLC seeks a Project Design Electrical Engineer to lead design projects in operational data centers, remediate issues, upgrade infrastructure, and deliver on schedule and budget. You will collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to design solutions that ensure reliability and scalability.

With 4+ years in industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities and a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, you’ll contribute to safety,

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities (data centers, power, oil and gas)
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Knowledge of mechanical or electrical systems design

Responsibilities

• Work with internal teams to understand user requirements
• Carry out designs and calculations to meet project requirements
• Manage design consultancy firms to generate, review and release data center designs
• Manage change, versioning and configuration control
• Draft and approve project scopes, RFPs and RFIs
• Coordinate with commissioning teams to validate installation, operation, and performance of systems
• Travel for site reviews and engineering evaluations, audits and site launches
• Review and approve equipment submittals
• Troubleshoot problems and perform RCA/CA for design issues
• Collaborate with regional vendors to specify appropriate mechanical equipment
• Provide technical support during construction phases
• Offer creative, out-of-the-box solutions
• Up to 30% travel in the EMEA region
