Job summary

Halian Group seeks an experienced Cyber Technical Lead to drive a cybersecurity transformation within a highly regulated banking environment in Abu Dhabi. The role leads a multi-disciplinary cyber security squad delivering AppSec, AI Governance, continuous security validation, and compliance assurance.

You will act as the 1LoD technology leader, embedding security controls across the software delivery lifecycle while aligning with regulatory requirements and enterprise policies.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in Cybersecurity Engineering, Security Architecture, DevSecOps, or Cloud Security leadership.
• Experience leading security programs in banking or highly regulated industries.
• Expertise in Azure and AWS security controls and enterprise tooling.
• Proven ability to drive governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong communication with executives and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead a cyber security squad across four workstreams: AppSec, AI Governance, continuous security validation, compliance.
• Govern enterprise security tooling ecosystem, integrations, and vendor strategies.
• Oversee evidence management for audits, attestations and regulatory reporting.
• Drive DevSecOps adoption and secure-by-design across software delivery environments.
• Present governance metrics and risk posture to executives monthly.
• Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit, and AI Centre of Excellence teams.
