Job summary

Serco in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a seasoned Crew Manager to lead a firefighting and rescue crew for 24/7 operations at a major airfield. The role requires extensive experience in fire/rescue, leadership of ICAO-category crews, and the ability to coordinate with air traffic and emergency services to ensure rapid, safe responses.

The ideal candidate will hold relevant public-safety qualifications and be a UAE resident, with a track record of incident management and team development.

Qualifications

• Five to ten years in fire/rescue, incl. 3 years supervisory at ICAO Category 6 airfield or above.
• FVEY national and passport holder.

Responsibilities

• Lead/Manage the crew in firefighting, rescue or related duties.
• Coordinate vehicle positioning and deployment during incidents.
• Direct communications with control tower and fire control room for clearances and incident information.
• Oversee daily station duties and safety compliance.
• Assist in ongoing fire training of RFFS and base personnel as required.
• Report vehicle/equipment status and defects to Watch Manager.
