Job summary

Serco is seeking a Crew Manager to lead firefighting and rescue teams delivering 24/7 RFFS and ARFF services on ICAO-category airfields for civilian and military aircraft. You will oversee crew performance, vehicle deployment, and communications with control towers.

Essential duties include supervising daily operations, coordinating with emergency services, and supporting ongoing training and readiness of personnel across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years firefighting/rescue experience with 3+ years in supervisor role at an ICAO Category 6 airfield or higher.
• Additional fire/rescue work experience may substitute up to 2 years of formal education.
• Must be a FVEY national and passport holder.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage crew in firefighting, rescue or related duties for both structural and aviation incidents.
• Direct vehicle positioning and crew deployment during emergencies.
• Coordinate with control tower and fire control room for clearances and incident information.
• Oversee radio communications and liaison with other emergency services.
• Supervise daily vehicle/equipment checks and station duties.
• Assist in ongoing fire training and personnel development.
