Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of work experience in credit risk management, credit portfolio management, underwriting or review/quality control.
• Experience across sectors/products including corporates, financial institutions, CRE, leasing, structured finance and retail lending.
• Knowledge of risk and/or credit risk management and control frameworks.
• Ability to articulate credit review opinions, including where they diverge from 1LoD.
• UAE working experience is desirable (2 years).
• Familiarity with CB UAE regulatory regime pertaining risk management.
• Proficiency with MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head of Credit Risk Review in managing the Credit Risk Review Programme and governance for risk committees and governing bodies.
• Support development of Credit Risk Review objectives and establish policy and procedures for Credit Risks.
• Develop and execute the annual Credit Risk Review plan and monitor progress.
• Perform continuous monitoring of credit portfolios and document findings for senior management and the Board.
• Participate in credit risk reviews to independently assess Credit Risk Policies and Procedures.
• Evaluate credit and financial strength of borrowers and assurance of internal ratings.
• Monitor adherence to documentation limits and collateral perfection; review covenants.
• Verify the adequacy and completeness of credit files and that exams comply with policies.
• Prepare work papers, document findings and provide consultative feedback to auditees.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of Credit Risk Review tools and methodologies.
• Other duties as assigned.
