Job summary

Simone's Tutoring is seeking a qualified Counselling Psychologist to support individuals, children, and families. Deliver person-centred counselling in clients' homes and online, building personalised plans and collaborating with educators and healthcare professionals.

This freelance role requires a DHA/DOH/MOHAP licenced professional with at least 2 years post-qualification experience, capable of working across homes, schools, and online platforms while maintaining compliance and ethics.

Qualifications

• Experience with children, adolescents, or families preferred.
• 2+ years post-qualification counselling experience required.

Responsibilities

Role Overview

We are looking for a qualified Counselling Psychologist to support individuals, children, and families experiencing emotional, social, and psychological difficulties. You will deliver person-centred, evidence-based counselling and psychological interventions in clients' homes and online.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological and counselling assessments
• Provide individual, couple, and family counselling sessions
• Develop personalised therapeutic plans aligned with client goals
• Use a range of therapeutic modalities including CBT, person-centred, and integrative approaches
• Collaborate with educational and healthcare professionals
• Monitor client progress and adjust interventions accordingly
• Maintain confidential, compliant client records

Minimum Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Counselling Psychology
• Valid DHA, DOH, or MOHAP licence (or eligibility to obtain)
• Minimum 2 years post-qualification counselling experience
• Experience with children, adolescents, or families preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Training in trauma-informed approaches
• Cross-cultural counselling experience
• Arabic or other language proficiency

UAE Licensing Requirements

This role requires a valid UAE healthcare professional licence issued by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), Department of Health Abu Dhabi (DOH), or Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP). Applicants must hold, or be eligible to obtain, the relevant licence before providing services. Licensing requirements must comply with UAE regulations.

UAE Visa & Work Eligibility

Applicants must be legally authorised to work in the UAE through one of the following:

• Dependent Visa with legal work eligibility
