Job Description

Inflexion Technology is looking for experienced Cost Controllers, Project Controls professionals, Quantity Surveyors, or commercially oriented construction professionals who are interested in transitioning their industry expertise into a career in software and functional consulting.
This is not a traditional IT or software development role.
We are specifically looking for people who understand how construction projects operate in the real world, particularly around budgets, project costs, commitments, procurement, variations, forecasting and financial controls.
As a Functional Consultant working with Konstryx, you will use your construction domain knowledge to understand customer requirements, translate business processes into system requirements, support solution configuration and implementation, and help construction organizations improve the way they manage project information and controls.

• Work with construction customers to understand their existing project costing and cost-control processes.
• Conduct business process discussions and requirement-gathering workshops with customer stakeholders.
• Understand and document requirements related to areas such as:
• Project budgets
• Cost codes and cost structures
• Committed and actual costs
• Procurement and subcontractor commitments
• Project forecasting
• Variations and change management
• Cost-to-complete and project financial controls
• Project reporting and management visibility
• Translate construction terminology and operational requirements into clear functional requirements for Konstryx.
• Support the configuration and implementation of the solution based on agreed customer processes.
• Work closely with technical consultants and product specialists to ensure that business requirements are correctly understood.
• Assist customers during solution demonstrations, workshops, testing and implementation.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and help business users validate that the solution meets agreed requirements.
• Train and guide customer users on the implemented processes.
• Act as a bridge between construction professionals and technology teams.
• Provide practical recommendations based on previous construction industry experience.
• Support presales activities where construction domain knowledge is required to understand prospective customer requirements or demonstrate relevant business scenarios.
  

Qualifications

• Practical experience within the construction, contracting, engineering or project-based industry.
• Strong understanding of construction cost control and project commercial processes.
• Good understanding of budgets, commitments, actual costs, forecasting and project reporting.
• Ability to understand business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to explain construction processes clearly to both business and technical teams.
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
• Comfortable working with business applications, ERP systems, project-control platforms, Excel or similar systems.
• Interest in developing a career in technology and functional consulting.
• Software Consulting Experience

Previous Software Consulting Experience Is Not Mandatory.

We are particularly interested in candidates with strong construction domain knowledge who have the aptitude and interest to transition into consulting.
Experience with ERP, construction management, project controls, commercial management or cost-control software would be an advantage.
