Job summary

Qualifications

  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex project deliverables simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Manage pre-contract and post-contract cost management activities across multiple projects.
  • Prepare cost option studies for infrastructure, mixed-use, and public realm developments.
  • Develop detailed cost estimates from conceptual sketches, specifications, narratives, and technical drawings.
  • Monitor project budgets and act as the primary project cost controller to maintain financial compliance.
  • Assist client engagement and provide commercial advisory support across the project portfolio.
  • Participate in project team briefings to define scope, responsibilities, and cost expectations.
  • Prepare earned value reports and support financial performance tracking.
  • Review and update project cash flow forecasts and cost reporting.
  • Assess contractor and consultant progress payments and variation claims and provide recommendations to clients.
  • Contribute to RFP documentation and support procurement management processes.
  • Prepare tender documents and manage tender review, analysis, and reconciliation.
  • Evaluate value engineering proposals and commercial alternatives for project optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with FIDIC contracts and standard methods of measurement including CESMM, POMI, and NRM.
  • Support negotiations and presentations related to commercial project decisions.

The Cost Manager is responsible for controlling and monitoring all commercial aspects of project delivery from feasibility through construction completion.
