Overview

Cost Manager – Pre and Post Contract delivers comprehensive cost consultancy services for mid to large scale luxury residential, commercial, and hospitality projects in Dubai. The role supports clients across portfolios while managing teams, budgets, and commercial outcomes throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver pre and post contract cost consultancy services across multiple projects and portfolios.
• Manage cost estimating, cost planning, and BOQ preparation, including coordination and team management.
• Lead pre‑tender estimates, tender processes, tender queries, and addendum preparation.
• Review contract formation and provide commercial advice to clients.
• Manage payment certifications, variations, and change control processes.
• Support claim avoidance through proactive commercial management and negotiation.
• Track budgets, prepare cost reports, and manage financial risk throughout the project lifecycle.
• Act as primary client contact on small to medium size projects.
• Manage resources across single large or multiple smaller projects within approved budgets.
• Deliver funder advisory and commercial deliverables in line with agreed scopes.
• Ensure quality control and compliance with internal procedures and professional standards.
• Support benchmarking, data collection, and internal reporting initiatives.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop junior team members including graduate development support.
• Monitor and manage performance of direct reports to achieve project and business objectives.

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a construction‑related discipline.
• Chartered RICS Membership (MRICS).
• 8 to 10 years post‑graduate experience in cost management or quantity surveying.
• 4 to 5 years of professional experience in the Middle East.
• Proven experience delivering pre and post contract services on complex projects.
• Strong leadership, client management, and commercial negotiation skills.
