Job summary

The Lana Dorchester Collection Dubai seeks a Cost Control Supervisor to lead inventory control and ensure precise cost accounting across luxury hotel operations. You will manage stock records, reconcile purchases, and support internal controls while delivering timely reports for management.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in a similar role within Middle East luxury hotels, strong accounting skills, and a customer-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Resilience and insight to perform under pressure in dynamic hotel environments.
• Strong accounting, analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service orientation.
• English is the primary language used in the hotel.
• At least 3 years' experience in a luxury hotel inventory/control role in the Middle East.

Responsibilities

• Lead the inventory control support team to track Chinaware, Glassware, Silverware, Food & Beverage, Tobacco and Consumables.
• Record, reconcile and maintain monthly purchases and issues of operating equipment.
• Support the internal control environment governing inventory management across the hotel.
• Produce accurate cost and statistical reports for senior management daily, weekly and monthly.
• Highlight and correct irregularities in recording, storage and handling of stock items.
• Assist the Asst Dir of Finance with ad hoc projects and duties as required.

What you ll do

You ll love what you do and take pride in delighting our guests

• You will lead the inventory control support team to maintain strict tracking procedures for all Chinaware Glassware Silverware Food Beverage Tobacco and Consumables
• To record reconcile and keep appropriate records of all the monthly purchases and issues of operating equipment
• To continuously support the internal control environment governing inventory management across the hotel
• To produce highly accurate cost and statistical information reports to senior management on a daily weekly and monthly basis
• To highlight and correct procedural irregularities in the recording storage and handling of all stock items
• To support the Asst Dir of Finance with any ad hoc projects and duties as required
