Job summary

Azizi Developments is seeking a Cost Control Engineer to support project cost planning, budgeting, and performance monitoring. You will prepare cost plans, perform technical and commercial reviews of tenders, and ensure expenditures stay within budget.

Collaboration with project teams and external clients is essential to deliver projects on time and within cost targets. The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, with proficiency in SAP, Primavera, and MS Project.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering with specialization in Project Management or Cost Control.
• Knowledge in MS Project, Primavera Scheduling and SAP software’s is highly advantageous.
• Software: Microsoft Office, Auctocad, SAP software’s, Primavera.

Responsibilities

• Support the Development Cost Planning Business Plan and implement cost planning processes on all projects.
• Prepare detailed project cost plans, present recommendations and benchmark at reviews for sign-off.
• Control project total expenditure, verify invoices and claims from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Provide planning and cost controlling support including variation reporting and milestone monitoring.
• Attend project meetings with PMT and external clients and report monthly expenditures.

Cost Control Engineer provides cost controlling support for all projects which includes variation reporting, monitoring of milestone progress to the preparation of customer billing processes, Perform and manage project activity scheduling and monitoring Perform technical and commercial review of tenders.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Development Cost Planning Business Plan, using tools and implementing cost planning processes on all projects.
• Prepare detailed project cost plans, presenting recommendations and benchmarking at project reviews to achieve sign off Cost Planning outputs.
• Assess skills gap (within the regional cost planning team) and develop a plan to rectify the gap.
• Responsible to control and monitor project total expenditure including verifying and checking of invoices and claims from suppliers, vendors and subcontractors to ensure that all project expenditures are captured and properly recorded.
• Provide planning and cost controlling support for all projects which includes variation reporting, monitoring of milestone progress to the preparation of customer billing Processes, etc.
• Perform and manage project activity scheduling and monitoring milestone progress to the preparation of customer billing processes, etc.
• Perform technical and commercial review (subcontractor’s quotations) for the preparation of Service agreements.
• Ensure effective project implementation and utilize productive reports from the creation of WBS (Work breakdown structure) with the use of project management system to monitor the status of all purchases, invoicing and delivery up to the closure of the project.
• Coordinate and work with the project management team to resolve project issues to ensure the delivery/completion of the project work.
• Attend project meetings and discussions with the PMT and external clients
• Perform project costing related reporting to the team and management’s review on a monthly basis to ensure that expenditures are kept within the project budget.
• Provide cost control and planning advice to the internal PMT team as and when required.
• Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as required

Functional Pre-Requisites Skills:

• Technically strong in project cost planning, scheduling and reporting.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills and meticulous
• Possess good project background and technical writing ability and skills.
• Independent worker who is able to work well with minimal supervision.
• Fast worker with ability to work well under stress.
