Corporate Excellence and Foresight Planning Section Head
Role Purpose
To drive organisational excellence by conducting maturity assessments, coordinating cross-departmental improvement initiatives, and supporting competitiveness reporting, ensuring alignment with Abu Dhabi Excellence Award criteria and DCT policies. This role fosters a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence, strengthening DCT’s position as a leader in business excellence and continuity.
Key Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
- Supervise the execution of excellence maturity assessments across DCT entities, ensuring accurate data collection and actionable insights to support continuous improvement.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of documentation for the Abu Dhabi Excellence Award, coordinating with relevant departments to ensure compliance with award criteria.
- Facilitate the delivery of organisational excellence awareness and training programmes, ensuring participation targets are met and learning objectives are achieved.
- Monitor and analyse Abu Dhabi competitiveness indicators, preparing detailed reports and recommendations to inform executive decision-making and drive performance.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align business excellence initiatives, ensuring consistency with DCT's strategic objectives and operational priorities.
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for process improvement in collaboration with departmental leads, driving implementation of best practices and efficiency measures.
- Support the development and periodic review of excellence-related policies, procedures, and tools, ensuring alignment with national standards and DCT requirements.
- Supervise the tracking and resolution of improvement actions arising from assessments, ensuring timely closure and documentation of outcomes.

- Carry out any other duties and responsibilities related to the role at the request of the direct manager
- Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
- Demonstrate compliance to organization's values and ethics to support the establishment of a value drive culture within the organization
- Contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.
- Comply with all OSH policy, procedures, and relevant legalizations that are applied in DCT.
- Report of any incident, near misses, occupational illness, unsafe practices, and conditions immediately to the concerned person.
- Protect yourself and fellow workers from any OSH hazards in the workplace, where applicable.
- Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment PPE, where required.
- Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures.
- Assist with the preparation of risk assessments, if required.
- Prevent creating any hazards and risks to yourself, co-workers, and to the workplace.
- Cooperate with OSH Officer to maintain a safe and healthy workplace at DCT.
- Participate actively in the OSH program instituted by the DCT and in case of emergency.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Business Administration, Quality Management, or any other degree within Business Excellence or Public Administration.
- Professional certification in Business Excellence, Quality Management, or related area preferred
- 5-7 years of experience in business excellence, organizational performance, or quality management within the public sector
