Job summary

Dubai Chambers in Dubai seeks a dedicated assistant to support the director in designing and executing programs, reports and guides to boost Dubai's digital economy. You will liaise with accelerators, incubators, digital consultants and internal teams to ensure timely delivery.

You will gather data, generate dashboards, provide market insights to startups and multinationals, and help improve processes and operations across departments.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of progressive experience in digital industries.
• Working knowledge of local and regional digital business environment.
• Experience in data gathering/processing and databasing.

Responsibilities

The role holder is responsible for supporting the director in designing and executing various programes, initiatives, reports and guides aimed at increasing the competitiveness of Dubai’s business landscape. Liaising with key digital stakeholders, and internal departments to effectively execute the strategy.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Assist in designing and executing reports and guides related to the Digital Economy.


• Coordinate with key digital stakeholders, including accelerators, incubators, and digital consultants, to effectively manage program requirements and timelines.


• Collaborate with internal support functions, including marketing, IT, and PR departments, to ensure efficient project execution.


• Provide support for all workshops, hackathons and major events falling under the programs and initiatives outlined for the role.


• Provide market insights to international startups and multinational corporations via our external and internal data partners.


• Gather and analyse data from various data sources to identify patterns, insights, and opportunities in the digital economy landscape.


• Generate reports, presentations, and dashboards to enhance the departments efforts to build the digital economy ecosystem in Dubai.


• Conduct quarterly assessments of operations to identify gaps and areas for improvement.


• Conduct research on current trends, technologies, market dynamics, and emerging business models within the digital economy.

Information Security

• Adherence to the information security policies/processes/program and for reporting any security breaches or incidents to the direct management.

Policies, Systems, Processes and Procedures

• Contribute to the identification of opportunities for the continuous improvement of departmental systems, policies, processes, and practices considering ‘international leading practices’ to improve productivity and operational efficiency.


• Provide critical input to support the development of Department’s systems, policies, processes, and procedures to meet business requirements.


• Ensure team members comply with all Department’s policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

Quality, Health, Security, Safety and Environment

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and relevant quality, health, safety, security and environmental procedures and controls across the Department to guarantee employee safety and delivery of high-quality services.

Reporting

• Ensure that all departmental reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet Dubai requirements, policies and quality standards.

Others

• Other relevant tasks of the job purpose when, and if required.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or other relevant fields.

Minimum Experience and Skills

• 1 - 2 years of progressive experience in digital industries demonstrating progressively greater responsibility.


• Working knowledge of local and regional digital business environment.


• Experience in Data gathering/processing and Databasing.
