Job summary

Aloft Hotels in Dubai seeks a full-time Kitchen Associate to support daily food preparation and service. You will handle ingredient prep, cooking support, and quality control in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.

Responsibilities include following recipes and safety standards, operating standard kitchen equipment, maintaining cleanliness, and collaborating with team members to ensure timely, high-quality dishes. Prior experience preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of related food preparation/kitchen experience.
• No supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, mincing, and storage.
• Wash/peel fresh vegetables and fruits, measure and weigh ingredients and mix as needed.
• Follow recipes, quality and plating standards, and the food prep checklist.
• Prepare cold foods and operate oven, stove, grill, microwave, and fryer.
• Test foods to ensure they are fully cooked; monitor quality during preparation.
• Set up and clean the workstation; portion foods into appropriate containers.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, equipment, and tools; ensure temperatures are correct.
• Adhere to company safety and security policies; report maintenance issues and incidents.
• Maintain clean professional appearance; protect confidentiality and company assets.
• Communicate clearly, work with team, listen to concerns, and contribute to a positive environment.
• Uphold quality expectations; stand/walk for long shifts and move up to 25 pounds unaided.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisor.
