Job summary

GHD is seeking a Control Systems Engineer in Abu Dhabi to design and implement control strategies for power generation, transmission and distribution projects. You will work with MATLAB/Simulink and DigSILENT PowerFactory to develop reliable systems.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, perform detailed analyses, and contribute to project delivery with clear communication to clients and stakeholders. A strong background in control theory and power engineering is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience designing control systems for power generation, transmission or distribution.
• Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink and DigSILENT PowerFactory.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement control strategies for power projects.
• Analyze power systems and control systems for optimization and reliability.
• Develop and validate models and algorithms for control systems.
• Interface control systems with PLCs, SCADA and remote monitoring.
• Simulate and test control solutions under varied conditions.
• Communicate technical details to stakeholders throughout project lifecycle.
