Job summary

Black Box is seeking an experienced Application Engineer / Project Engineer to support mission-critical control room solutions across the Middle East & Africa. You will partner with Sales in presales and ensure flawless execution in postsales, covering KVM and Pro AV systems, video walls, and operator workspace technologies.

Responsibilities span pre-sales discovery, solution design, demos and sizing, plus post-sales design, FAT/SAT, training and commissioning.

Qualifications

5–10 years engineering experience in KVM and/or Professional AV integration for control rooms.
Proven delivery across MEA markets with multisite multivendor environments.
Strong knowledge of KVM: matrix/IPKVM; Pro AV: signal distribution and video wall controllers; Networking basics.

Responsibilities

PreSales: conduct discovery workshops, site surveys and requirements capture for control rooms across sectors.
Translate requirements into solution architectures, BoMs and compliance matrices; support demos and RFP/RFI responses.
Drive vendor alignment, prepare demos/PoCs and sizing inputs; align with Sales and PM.
PostSales: design rack layouts, cabling schedules and device configuration; lead FAT/SAT and commissioning; deliver training.
Troubleshoot signals and networks; manage escalations and root-cause analysis; ensure QA/QC compliance.
