Confidential Company in Abu Dhabi seeks an AV Technician to install, configure and commission integrated audio visual systems for meetings, conferences, and events. You will work with displays, projectors, video walls, cameras and speakers, ensuring robust signal flow and reliable performance.

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, IT, Audio Visual Technology, or a related field.
2–5 years of hands-on AV Technician experience.
Strong knowledge of professional audio and video equipment.
Experience with AV installation, integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
Good knowledge of AV cabling, connectors, signal flow, and basic networking.
Experience with video conferencing and collaboration systems.
Knowledge of Crestron, Extron, or AMX is an advantage.
Knowledge of audio DSPs, amplifiers, microphones, speakers, and mixers.
Ability to read AV schematics, drawings, and wiring diagrams.
Basic understanding of IP networking, TCP/IP, VLANs, and PoE is preferred.
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team.
Willingness to work onsite and outside normal working hours when required.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, test and commission audio visual systems and equipment.
Install and troubleshoot LED LCD displays, projectors, screens, video walls, speakers, microphones, amplifiers, DSPs and cameras.
Terminate AV cabling including HDMI, SDI, CAT6, CAT6A, fiber, XLR and other cables.
Configure and troubleshoot video conferencing systems (Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, etc.).
Assist with Crestron, Extron, AMX or other AV control systems installation.
Configure DSPs, audio mixers, amplifiers and distribution systems.
Troubleshoot audio, video connectivity and equipment issues.
Conduct system testing, commissioning and preventive maintenance.
Read AV drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics and layouts.
Assist AV Engineers during integration and commissioning.
Provide onsite technical support during meetings and events.
Maintain documentation of installations, testing and service activities.
Coordinate with project engineers, consultants, subcontractors and clients.
Ensure installations meet specs, safety and standards.
Identify faulty equipment and coordinate repair or replacement.
Provide technical support and user assistance for AV systems.
