Job summary

Client of Dr Expat in Dubai is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to assess, diagnose and manage a wide range of psychiatric disorders across inpatient and outpatient settings. You will work closely with psychologists, primary care physicians, neurologists, nurses and multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive mental health services and individualized treatment plans.

The role requires board certification in Psychiatry, a Medical degree from a recognized institution, and license eligibility

Qualifications

• Board-certified or equivalent qualification in Psychiatry.
• Minimum 8–10 years of post-specialization experience.
• Valid DHA/DOH/MOH Consultant license or eligibility.
• Bilingual communication skills (Arabic and English preferred).
• Experience across inpatient and outpatient psychiatry.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage adult psychiatric disorders in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Develop personalized treatment plans using evidence-based psychiatric practices.
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications.
• Conduct psychiatric assessments, risk evaluations and follow-up consultations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
• Provide counseling, education and support to patients and their families.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with healthcare regulations.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing medical education.

Qualifications
