Job summary

Astra ProMed in Dubai is seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to deliver comprehensive psychiatric care within a leading healthcare facility. You will manage complex mental health cases, contribute to treatment planning, and support patient wellbeing in a multidisciplinary setting.

The role requires medical qualification in Psychiatry and DHA eligibility, with strong clinical experience at consultant level.

Qualifications

• Medical degree with recognized postgraduate qualification in Psychiatry.
• Valid DHA eligibility or license, or eligibility to obtain one.
• Relevant post-specialization clinical experience at Consultant level.
• Strong knowledge of current psychiatric assessment and treatment protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary mental health team.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of psychiatric and mental health conditions
• Develop individualized treatment plans, including medication management and psychotherapy, where qualified
• Manage complex psychiatric cases and provide crisis intervention when required
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, risk assessments, and follow-up consultations
• Collaborate with psychologists, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals
• Provide patient and family counselling and education
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with clinical protocols
• Contribute to clinical education, quality improvement, and evidence-based psychiatric practice
