Overview

Consultant Physician - Dermatology – Dubai, United Arab Emirates

This senior role requires a dermatologist with a minimum of five years consultant‑level experience, combining medical dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, and procedural expertise to deliver high‑quality care in a modern clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, manage, and treat skin, hair, and nail conditions including acne, eczema, psoriasis, vitiligo, dermatitis, pigmentation concerns, infections, and skin cancers.
• Perform detailed dermatological examinations, dermoscopy, lesion assessment, skin biopsies, and other diagnostic procedures.
• Carry out advanced dermatological procedures such as laser therapy, chemical peels, cryotherapy, phototherapy, minor skin procedures, and aesthetic dermatology treatments when clinically appropriate.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on diagnosis, patient history, condition severity, skin type, safety considerations, and evidence‑based dermatology standards.
• Provide medical and cosmetic dermatology care while upholding patient safety, confidentiality, informed consent, and ethical practice.
• Educate patients on skincare routines, prevention, sun protection, chronic condition management, treatment expectations, and long‑term follow‑up care.
• Collaborate with specialties such as autoimmune disease, oncology, infectious disease, endocrinology, plastic surgery, or pediatrics for complex cases.
• Monitor treatment response, adjust therapy when required, and support continuity of care for chronic dermatological conditions.
• Supervise, train, and mentor junior doctors, residents, nurses, and clinical support staff involved in dermatology services.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, procedure notes, consent records, treatment plans, medication instructions, and follow‑up recommendations.
• Stay current with advancements in medical dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, laser technologies, biologic therapies, and modern procedures.
• Participate in clinical governance, audits, quality improvement initiatives, patient safety reviews, and continuous professional development activities.
• Support Saudi Commission for Health Specialties licensing and regulatory expectations where applicable.

Ideal Profile

• Medical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) from a recognized accredited institution.
• Board certification in Dermatology – mandatory.
• Minimum five years of experience as a Consultant Dermatologist.
• Strong clinical experience in both medical and cosmetic dermatology.
• Proven ability to diagnose and manage complex dermatological conditions, skin cancers, chronic inflammatory skin diseases, and aesthetic concerns.
• Proficiency in dermatological procedures and modern techniques, including dermoscopy, biopsies, laser therapy, cryotherapy, chemical peels, and phototherapy.
• Western education or training highly preferred or required depending on licensing authority.
• Eligibility for Saudi Commission for Health Specialties licensing preferred for Saudi Arabia‑based service.
• Excellent communication, leadership, documentation, counselling, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to educate patients clearly and support long‑term treatment adherence.
• Strong commitment to patient‑centered care, clinical quality, confidentiality, safety, and continuous medical learning.
• Comfortable working in a multicultural healthcare environment with a multidisciplinary clinical team.
